About Ling’s Wok Shop:

Welcome to Ling's Wok Shop, where the wok steals the show! Our kitchen revolves

around the wok, guaranteeing fresh, clean, and healthy meals every time. Dive into our

mouthwatering menu choices and explore our full bar featuring handcrafted cocktails,

curated wines, local brews, and daily happy hour specials. Ling's Wok Shop is your go-to

fresh, casual Asian dining that's as fun as it is flavorful!

This is a non-exempt tipped position.

Essential Job Functions:

▪ Hospitality:

o Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.

o Provide menu information and answer any questions guests may have.

o Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

o Ensure guest satisfaction by following our Hospitality Sequence and

promptly addressing any issues or concerns.

o Exemplify Ling & Louie’s Restaurants Core Values and Ling & Louie’s

Hospitality.

▪ Order Fulfillment:

o Assemble and package food orders according to restaurant standards.

o Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.

o Maintain a clean and organized service area and dining room.

o Responsible for flow of food and beverage in both the dining room and

the bar in accordance with restaurant expectations (this includes knowing

86’d items, VIPs and special orders).

▪ Cash Handling:

o Process guest payments accurately, including handling cash, credit, and

debit transactions.

o Ensure proper cash management and report discrepancies to

management.

▪ Team Collaboration:

o Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other team members to create

exceptional experiences for all.

o Assist with restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.

o Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines and standards.

o Perform all duties and maintains knowledge of all Ling & Louie’s

standards and procedures.

▪ Guest Engagement:

o Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and

brand loyalty.

o Promote restaurant promotions and specials to enhance the dining

experience.

o Maintain excellent menu knowledge, guiding guests and making

suggestions to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications:

▪ Previous experience in customer service or food service role preferred but not

required.

▪ Excellent people and organizational skills.

▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

▪ Outgoing, energetic personality with a positive attitude.

▪ Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

▪ Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance in accordance with

Company policy.

▪ Ability to learn and demonstrate menu knowledge, including food and beverage

preparation, and wine and beer descriptions.

▪ Ability to learn and operate a keyboard and POS system.

▪ Ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple

tasks and have a high level of patience.

▪ Ability to lift, handle and carry trays, smallwares and equipment weighing up to

35 pounds.
