We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The General Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high-quality standards, driving revenue growth, and identifying and developing future leadership within the restaurant.
This is an exempt management position and is not eligible for overtime.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage a team of restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Create a positive and productive work environment that fosters teamwork and employee development.
- Set performance goals for staff and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure goals are met.
- Operations Management
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including but not limited to, inventory management, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food quality guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for operational efficiency.
- Customer Service and Satisfaction
- Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews to continuously improve the guest experience and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses while maintaining quality standards.
- Drive sales initiatives and promotional activities to increase revenue and maximize profitability.
- Vendor and Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate pricing to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.

Education and Experience:
- High School education required.
- College degree preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of full-service restaurant experience required.

Position requires extensive interaction with the public and all levels of employees both within and outside of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an environment with regular exposure to noise, odors, fumes, temperature fluctuations, grease, and other conditions associated with a restaurant.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length.
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to obtain and store items.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to continuously use fingers to operate point-of-sale equipment, prepare, and serve food and beverage items.
