Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit

Location: Kingman, Arizona

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Day/Night Shifts Available)

Employment Type: Full-time (Preferred), Part-time, or PRN

Shift Differentials: $5.00/hour for nights, $2.00/hour for weekends

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Relocation Assistance: Up to $4,000


Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Unit. Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Nursing Process

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to promote positive patient outcomes and minimize hospital readmissions.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, collecting information from patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
  • Follow infection control protocols and standard precautions at all times.
  • Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare disciplines to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Clinical Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and fellow nursing staff.
  • Provide mentorship and support to other nursing personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in compliance with hospital and unit-specific policies and procedures.


Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or completion of a Nursing Diploma program required; Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active RN license in Arizona or Compact State RN license.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Unit-Specific Requirements

  • Basic EKG competency required within 3 months of hire.
  • De-escalation Techniques course required within 6 months of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Bonuses & Incentives

  • $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Must have at least one year of experience
  • Must be employed full-time
  • Must not have been employed by KHI within the past 12 months
  • Requires a 24-month commitment (first 12 months: 100% repayment; after 12 months: prorated repayment of half the bonus)
  • $4,000 Relocation Bonus
  • Requires a 24-month commitment with prorated payback if the term is not completed


All bonuses are paid out within 1–2 pay periods after the start date.

  • Medical-Surgical Unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6
