Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finisher to join our production team. This critical role is responsible for executing the final stage of our cabinetry production process—applying stains, sealers, and protective finishes that bring our pieces to life. The ideal candidate will be experienced in fine finishing techniques, color matching, and surface preparation, and will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Apply a variety of custom stains, sealers, and conversion varnishes using spray techniques
  • Perform multi-step and specialty finishes, including detailed touchups and refinishing as needed
  • Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and conditioning prior to finishing
  • Mix and match stains to achieve custom tones, ensuring color consistency across projects
  • Inspect finished products for quality, making corrections where necessary to meet standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols
  • Work with hand tools, spray equipment, and other finishing machinery
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and project requirements


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of finishing experience, ideally in high-end cabinetry or woodworking
  • Expertise in conversion varnish application and spray stain techniques
  • Experience with custom mixing and color matching
  • Strong understanding of multi-step finishing processes
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to craftsmanship and quality control
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to finishing chemicals and equipment
